Bio:
Doug has worked in the utility industry for 30+ years as an Electric Lineworker, with extensive experience in Transmission and Distribution systems at Consumers Energy. He has a Bachelor Degree from Charter in Business and has spent the last 8yrs establishing the HOP program at Consumers Energy, 10yrs. being involved in the Safety Culture in many capacities, such as Co-chair of Safety Teams and Incident Investigation Teams, as well as a full time instructor and electric representative for the Michigan State Utility Workers Council for the last 18yrs to present.
Doug is the author of several articles and theory around a concept called L.I.V.E.S. (Look, Investigate, Visualize, Execute, Safely), which was feature in the IP magazine for Certified Utility Safety Professional, done many podcasts including Safety Spectrum, Jay Allen, and FIT
